TURCHIA

Trieste ha sempre ospitato una piccola ma attiva comunità Turca. Durante l'Impero Austro-Ungarico, intrattiene intense attività commerciali con l'Impero Ottomano: le sue navi arrivano con frequenza nel Porto Franco e molte società triestine possiedono uffici ad Istanbul, città collegata con Trieste dal leggendario treno Oriente Express. Nel 1842, la comunità turca ottiene, come le diverse comunità cattoliche presenti in città, un piccolo terreno per la tumulazione dei musulmani.

Il Consolato della Turchia viene aperto dal capitano Liberale di Giacomo Baseo, nominato il 18 ottobre 1732 dall'Imperatore Carlo VI su istanza dei commercianti greci e turchi. Tra i suoi successori ricordiamo Spiridione de Cazzaiti, Rifat Baraz ed Erman Chandam.

Nel 1964 viene nominato Console Generale Onorario di Turchia il comm. Eugenio Vatta, commerciante triestino, proprietario di una società attiva nel commercio con la Turchia ed importatrice di filati di cotone e lana. Dopo la sua morte, nel 1992, assume la carica il comm. Dario Samer, agente marittimo, molto attivo in città, che trasferisce il Consolato in Via Einaudi 3. Il Console Samer si fa promotore di un intenso traffico marittimo tra la Turchia e l'Europa tramite il porto di Trieste, che aumenta vertiginosamente con lo scoppio della guerra dei Balcani. Trieste diventa così la porta della Turchia verso l'Italia e l'Unione Europea.

Nel 1999 è sostituito dal figlio Enrico, membro del Consiglio di Decanato del Corpo Consolare di Trieste, che trasferisce la sede nella prestigiosa sede di Piazza Unità d'Italia 7.

La giurisdizione del Consolato si estende sulle regioni Friuli-Venezia Giulia e Trentino-Alto Adige. Orario d'apertura: dal lun. al ven., dalle ore 8.30 alle ore 13.00 e dalle ore 14.00 alle ore 17.30. Non si rilasciano visti.

TURKEY

The small Turkish community has always played an active part in Trieste's economic and cultural life. During the Habsbourg Empire the city had important business relations with the Ottoman Empire. Its ships constantly arrived at the port of Trieste, and many Triestine companies had their own offices in Istanbul, which could be reached by train with the Orient Express. In 1842, like several catholic Triestine communities, the Turks were accorded a small cemetery for the burying of Muslims. Capt. Liberale Giacomo Baseo was in charge of the first Turkish Consulate. His appointment (18 th October 1732) had been proposed by a group of Greek and Turkish merchants to the Emperor Charles VI. Spiridione de Cazzaiti, Rifat Baraz and Erman Chandam are just to name a few of his most renowned successors in the ensuing years.

In 1964 Eugenio Vatta, the owner of a cotton and wool importing company, with strong business relations with Turkey, became General Honorary Consul. He was replaced by the ship-broker Dario Samer (1992), who promoted shipping business involving Turkey and Europe through Trieste Freeport, allowing it to play a key role during the Balkan war. His son Enrico took up the post of Consul in 1999, entering the Deanery Council of Trieste's Consular Corps.

The Consulate, once in Via Einaudi 3, is now located in Piazza Unità 7, and its jurisdiction covers Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Trentino-Alto Adige. Service times: Mon - Fri, from 8.30am to 1pm and from 2pm to 5.30pm. The Consulate does not process any type of visas.

Trieste a toujours eu une petite communauté turque, très active dans le secteur commercial. À l'époque des Habsbourg, ses navires touchent le Port franc assez fréquemment, et plusieurs entreprises de la ville ont leurs bureaux à Istanbul, devenue facilement accessible grâce au train légendaire du Orient Express. En 1842 ses citoyens obtiennent, aux même titre que les communautés catholiques présentes en ville, un petit cimetière pour l' enterrement des musulmans.

Le Consulat de Turquie est ouvert , sous l'initiative des marchands grecs et turcs, par le Capitain Liberale Giacomo Baseo, nommé Consul par l' Empereur Charles VI le 18 octobre 1732 . Parmi ses successeurs il faut mentionner Spiridione de Cazzaiti, Rifat Baraz ed Erman Chandam. De 1964 à 1992 la charge de Consul général honoraire est occupée par Eugenio Vatta, un commerçant triestin, propriétaire d'une entreprise spécialisée dans l' importation de fils de coton et laine, ayant des relations commerciales très importantes avec la Turquie. Il est suivi par Dario Samer, agent maritime, très actif en ville, qui devient promoteur des trafics entre Trieste et la Turquie, surtout pendant les guerres balkaniques. Trieste devient ainsi la porte de la Turquie vers l' Italie et l'Union Européenne.

En 1999 M. Samer est remplacé par son fils Enrico, membre du Conseil de décanat du Corps Consulaire de Trieste. Le Consulat est transféré de Via Einaudi 3 à Piazza Unità d'Italia 7. Sa juridiction comprend le territoire du Frioul-Vénétie Julienne et du Trentin-Haut-Adige. Horaires d'ouverture : du lundi au vendredi, de 8h30 à 13h et de 14h à 17h30. On ne délivre pas de visas.
